La Corte Suprema de Chile confirmó hoy 28 de septiembre la condena a cuatro años de prisión a dos coroneles retirados de la Fuerza Aérea Chilena (FACH).
Según la Corte los coroneles condenados fueron los autores de torturas y la muerte del general de la FACH, Alberto Bachelet, quien fuera el padre de la actual presidente de Chile, Michelle Bachelet.
El general Bachelet se opuso al golpe militar encabezado por Augusto Pinochet el 11 de septiembre de 1973, posteriormente fue detenido e interrogado por militares en un juicio, acusado de "traición a la Patria".
Según menciona EFE, el juez Mario Carroza señaló: "El informe señala que todos los interrogatorios a los que fue sometido el general Bachelet habían agravado su situación coronaria y probablemente serían la causa de muerte, en 1974".
